Special Michigan Event with Pete Hoekstra & Mitt Romney April 28th
Please consider attending this event April 28 and invite some of your Michigan friends to attend as well. If you look at Mitt’s West Michigan Leadership Team, you’ll notice that Congressman Hoekstra is the very first person listed on Mitt’s West Michigan leadership team for the 2008 primaries. Mitt Romney has thanked Pete on several occasions for supporting him so early during Mitt’s run for the presidency and especially marveled at how many people Pete contacted in Iowa going door to door on behalf of Mitt. When Mitt won the primary, look who was one of the main guests there celebrating the victory: Look at Middle Video
Mitt and Pete go back even further than that. While reading Mitt’s book Turnaround, I noticed that one of the companies that helped get the Olympics back on track shortly after Mitt was Herman Miller which Pete was in charge of for years before he became a congressman.
Long story short, Pete has been there for Mitt for years and now Mitt is repaying the favor as best he can. Mitt supports Pete in his run for governor of Michigan. Pete has been leading the polls for a few months now, but he has some well-funded competition in the republican primary. This event will not only be a way to give a little financial boost to Pete’s campaign, it will also be a great chance to meet the next governor of the state of Michigan and the next President of the United States.
Thanks everyone! I hope you’re having a wonderful spring so far!
